OUR ETHOS
Holy Cross is a Catholic school which aims to nurture and cherish the uniqueness of each individual and develop their full potential, while respecting the religion and culture of all.
OUR VISION
Holy Cross N.S. strives to foster a school community where Christian values are lived and taught. The school offers opportunities for open communication so that both parents and school can work together to ensure the holistic development of the child.
The children are encouraged to be active participants in their own learning and to develop the talents and gifts unique to each one. Our school prides itself on our focus on the individual pupil and specialist staff provide learning support for pupils with specific learning difficulties. High achievers are equally encouraged to ensure they reach their full potential.
The school encourages the children to show respect at all times; for themselves and others and for the environment and to be active members of the school community. Talent and achievement are celebrated at Assemblies throughout the year.
WHO WE ARE
In Holy Cross, we have a dedicated, hardworking, and energetic staff who are committed to the welfare of our pupils. The staff provide a broad range of learning experiences in a safe, supportive, caring environment. We also offer many extra-curricular activities that are greatly enjoyed by our students. As a team, we work hard to achieve the best possible outcomes for all pupils so they can reach their full potential.
BOARD OF MANAGEMENT 2023 – 2027
Our Board of Management is made up of members of the local community, parents’ representatives, a staff representative and our school chaplain, Fr O’Halloran. They meet regularly to discuss and oversee the running of the school.
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION
We are really proud in Holy Cross to have an active and hands-on Parents’ Association who work closely with us to ensure the best opportunities for all children in our school. Their support adds so much to the Holy Cross community.
At the beginning of each academic year, the Parents’ Association hold their AGM. They actively encourage the involvement of all parents and welcome new members.
